Bureau of Energy Efficiency
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Established under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001, BEE assists in developing policies and strategies with a thrust on self-regulation and market principles.
BEE coordinates with designated consumers, designated agencies and other organizations to identify and utilize the existing potential of energy efficiency. The Refresher Course is a critical component of BEE's mandate to ensure certified professionals stay current with evolving energy standards.

How to Apply
Steps for the Refresher Course Process
Follow the five prescribed steps below to successfully enroll in the BEE Refresher Course and renew your certification under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.
Check if you need to get recertified as a Certified Energy Auditor or Energy Manager
If you passed your EA/EM Exam in 2020 or earlier and last attended the refresher course in 2020, you are eligible to participate in Phase 4 Refresher Course program. To confirm your eligibility, simply check the year of examination mentioned on your EA/EM Certificate. This ensures that you meet the criteria established for the program as per BEE guidelines.
Hold a valid or recently expired BEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) credential.
Certificate must be within the 5-year renewal cycle or already expired.
